Ahlel Bayt
- Prophet’s Wives are Ahlel Bayt
This article proves that the Prophetโs wives are Ahlel Bayt. It also presents a definition of what the term โAhlel Baytโ means which may be different to the one prevalent among our Shia bretheren. In the Quran, Allah Himself declares the Prophetโs wives to be the Ahlel Bayt and, thus, it is our assertion that they should not be excluded from our love.
- Prophet’s Daughters are Ahlel Bayt
Many of the Shia claim that the Prophet had only one daughter, namely Fatima, and hence deny the very existence of his other three daughters. This article proves without a doubtโusing the Quranโthat the Prophet had more than one daughter. Thus, it is our assertion that all four of the Prophetโs lovely daughters are part of the Ahlel Bayt.
- Word Games With Verse 33:33
It is sad and unfortunate that some people have tried to change the meaning of the Quran by playing word games with it. This article refutes these far-fetched theories such as the claims that Allah changed tenses in the Quran from feminine to masculine. We shall also examine the claims by the Shia Ayatollahs that the Quranic Verse 33:33 has been tampered with.
- Half Hadith-ing (Zaid ibn Arqam)
Some people enjoy posting half of a Hadith in order to โproveโ their point. This is what we call โHalf Hadith-ing.โ One of the most popular of the Hadith that are manipulated in such a manner is a narration by Zaid ibn Arqam. We shall examine this Hadith in this article and the reader will, Insha-Allah, realize that this Hadith actually affirms that the Prophetโs wives are Ahlel Bayt.
- The Status of Ahlel Bayt
All Muslims believe in respecting the Ahlel Bayt. However, many Shia espouse a viewpoint that goes against the Islamic concepts of egalitarianism and is a rejection of Quranic exhortations.
- Foundation of Shi’ism is Nasibi
It is the Shia who are the Nasibis, because they hate the Prophet’s wives. The Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah loves the entire Ahlel Bayt, including the Prophet’s wives, all his children, Ali (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) and his family, etc., whereas the Shia only love one segment of the Ahlel Bayt and despise other parts of it.
- Slander Against Prophet’s Wives
The Shia scholars do not have a good opinion of Aisha (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) or of Hafsa (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง). This article chronicles some of the allegations levied against the Mothers of the Believers. This collection of Shia sayings is very heart-wrenching for those who love the lovely wives of the Prophet of Islam.
- Mothers of the Believers
The Quran bestows the title of “Mother of the Believers” (Umm Al Mumineen) to Aisha (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) , Hafsa (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) , and the rest of the Prophet’s wives: “The Prophet is closer to the believers than their ownselves, and his wives are their mothers.” (Quran, 33:6) If Aisha (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) is the mother of the believers, then the people who slander her, insult her, and criticize her can not truly be believers.
- Al-Ifk: Quran Defends Aisha (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง)
The Munafiqoon slandered Aisha (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) in the incident of al-Ifk, which took place in the lifetime of the Prophet (ุตููู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณููู ). Allah Almighty Himself revealed verses in the Quran not only defending Aisha (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) against slander but condemning anyone who does such a thing as an unbeliever. Slander against Aisha (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) is Haram according to the Quran.
- First Lady of Islam
Aisha (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) is of the Ahlel Bayt; she is the First Lady of Islam, the Queen of our hearts, the Mother of the Believers, and the beloved of Allah’s Beloved. Anyone who disrespects her, thereby disrespects the Prophet (ุตููู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณููู ). This article is food for thought, a simple series of logical arguments backed by the Word of Allah.
- Verse 33:33 Does Not Make Anyone Infallible
The Shia make the claim that verse 33:33 makes the Ahlel Bayt infallible. However, this seems to be an exaggeration, and an unbiased analysis of verse 33:33 shows that nobody is made infallible by this verse. Furthermore, we expose the inconsistencies of many Shia missionaries and hope to impress upon our readers the fallacy in much of Shia theology.
- The Wives of Prophet Nuh (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู
) and Prophet Lut (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู
)
The wives of Prophet Nuh (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ) and Prophet Lut (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ) were sinful and condemned in the Quran. The Shia bring up these two women in order to justify their position on the wife of Prophet Muhammad (ุตููู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณููู ), whom they revile. We hope to, Insha-Allah, expose the weakness of the Shia argument in this article.
- Hadith About Muawiyyah: “May Allah Not Fill His Belly” [A Sunni Perspective]
The Shia will look within the Hadith collection of the Ahlus Sunnah in order to prove their viewpoint. However, the Shia will oftentimes need to make use of academic deciet when they quote such Hadith. One such example can be found when they procure Hadith about Muawiyyah.
- Fadak, Part I: Shia Hadith Confirms Abu Bakr’s Justice (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู)
The Shia attack the personality of Abu Bakr (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) by criticizing his position in regards to Fadak. They accuse him of fabricating Hadith and thereby denying Fatima (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) from recieving her inheritance. However, we see that the argument of the Shia propagandists becomes impotent when we show them their own Shia Hadith in Al-Kafi in which the Prophet (ุตููู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณููู ) categorically states that Prophets do not leave behind inheritance but rather his property should be given as alms.
- Fadak, Part II: Why Didn’t Ali (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) Return Fadak?
The Shia criticize Abu Bakr (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) for not giving Fadak to Fatima (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง), and they also criticize Uthman (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) for refusing to “restore” Fadak to the progeny and inheritors of Fatima (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง). And yet, the Shia completely forget (or decietfully ignore) the fact that Ali (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) himself upheld Abu Bakr’s decision (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู). Ali (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) continued to use Fadak as a Waqf of the state. Thus, if blame is to be put on the shoulders of Abu Bakr (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู), then equal blame should be put on Ali (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู).
- Fadak, Part III: Ahlus Sunnah is Not Abandoning the Quran
When the Ahlus Sunnah points to Hadith (including the Shia’s own Al-Kafi) to prove that Prophets do not leave behind inheritance, the Shia propagandists resort to rhetoric and accuse the Ahlus Sunnah of abandoning the Quran. This article exposes the weakness of the Shia’s claims and gives examples to show how the Ahlus Sunnah has analyzed the Quran and Hadith in a fair and accurate manner.
- Fadak, Part IV: Shia Women Do Not Inherit Land Anyways
An astounding revelation–of which many people happen to be uninformed of–is the fact that in the Shia Fiqh a woman does not inherit land or fixed property. How is it that the Shia accept it for Fatima (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) to inherit Fadak, when their own jurisprudence does not allow the succession of a woman to land or fixed property? So the Shia Fiqh itself would deny the inheritance to Fatima (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) even if the Prophets were allowed to give inheritance to their heirs (even though they are not). This makes the Shia arguments against Abu Bakr (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) even more useless.
- Fadak, Part V: Fatima’s Anger (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง)
The Shia propagandists declare that because Abu Bakr (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) angered Fatima (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง), this is proof of his guilt on the matter. They will even show a Hadith narrated by Aisha (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) to “prove” their claims. This article will fairly analyze and take into perspective Fatima’s feelings over the issue of Fadak.
- Fadak, Part VI: Fadak Was Not a Gift
The Shia propagandists argue that Abu Bakr (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) denied Fatima (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) her inheritance. When the Ahlus Sunnah replies by showing them their own Hadith in Al-Kafi [i.e. regarding how Prophets do not leave behind inheritance], then the Shia will suddenly claim that Fadak was a gift given to Fatima (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง), and not inheritance at all! This article examines this claim and proves it to be false.
- Fadak, Part VII: Charity is Good
The Shia will make it sound as if Abu Bakr (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) took Fadak and made it his own. Abu Bakr (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) did not take a cent from Fadak, but rather he made it part of the Waqf for the benefit of the Ummah and the emerging Muslim state. Thus, the only crime that Abu Bakr (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) can be charged with is donating to help poor people.
- Fadak, Part VIII: The Quran Does Not Say Prophets Give Inheritance
The Shia propagandists will try to give examples from the Quran to prove that Prophets actually do give inheritance. This is all in an attempt to undermine the words of Prophet Muhammad (ุตููู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณููู ) who clearly said that Prophets do not give material possessions as inheritance. However, this article analyzes the Quranic verses used by the Shia propagandists, and we see that their claims are easily debunked.
- Fadak, Part IX: Umar (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) Upheld Abu Bakr’s Decision (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู)
The Shia propagandists will sometimes claim that Umar (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) overturned Abu Bakr’s decision (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) and gave Fadak back to Ali (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู). They will use this as “proof” that Abu Bakr (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) was wrong, implying that “look, even your Umar gave Fadak back.” This is a blatant lie. Umar (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) upheld Abu Bakr’s decision (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู).
- Fadak, Part X: The Shia Who Deny Our Interpretation of the Al-Kafi Hadith
This article is in response to the anti-Sunni websites such as “Answering-Ansar” which tried to undermine the value of the Hadith in Al-Kafi about Prophets not leaving behind material inheritance. We see that the Shia propagandist will get stuck in the web of his own lies.
- Fadak, Part XI: Respect for Fatima (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง)
In regards to Fatima (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง), she is revered by the Ahlus Sunnah. We do not say that she sinned, nor do we say that she lied, nor do we insult her in any way. We say that she merely made a sincere mistake, something that all human beings do. The claims that the Sunnis insult Fatima (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) are lies and merely a part of the Shia propaganda machine.
- Fadak: Part XII, Conclusion
This twelve part series on Fadak was paraphrased by Ibn al-Hashimi from an article by Muhammad al-Khider. In the last part, we part the reader with some words on Fadak, and we discuss the bias of the Shia as well as points to remember when debating with the Shia propagandist. It is our sincere hope that our Fadak series was educational and helpful, Insha-Allah.
- Taqiyyah
Taqiyyah translates to “the act of deceiving.” An explanation of Taqiyyah was given by the Infallible Imam of the Shia as recorded in Al-Kafi, the most reliable of the Shia books of Hadith: The Imam said that Taqiyyah is to say one thing outwardly but to believe another inwardly. There is another term for this: lying. It is indeed strange that the Shia faith not only allows for lying but commands it!

Shaikh Damashqia likens Taqiyyah to pork. Pork is Haram normally. However, if a person put a gun to one’s head and says to eat pork, then […] - Neither Abu Bakr Nor Umar Was a “Liar, Sinful, Treacherous, and Dishonest”
The Shia propagandists–including the Answering Ansar website–will oftentimes show us a Hadith from Sahih Muslim in which it appears that Ali thought of Abu Bakr and Umar as being a “liar, treacherous, and dishonest.” Of course–as is usually the case–the Shia propagandists are making use of a technique we like to call “Half Hadith-ing.” They post only half of the Hadith and thereby take it completely out of context. If we examine the entire Hadith, we see that the Shia propaganda is easily debunked.
- Four Caliphs and Prophet Related by Marriage
All of the Three Caliphs (which Shia insult and call the “three fools”) were linked to Prophet Muhammad (ุตููู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณููู ) through marriage, blood, or both. That is how close friends the Three Caliphs and the Prophet (ุตููู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณููู ) were. Furthermore, Ali (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) gave his daughter in marriage to Umar (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู), and this just shows how mischievious the Shia propagandists are when they try to make it look like they were all enemies. Far from it! None of them were enemies. They were all best of friends and Sahabah (Companions) to each other. Indeed, Ali (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) was the vizier and top aid to all Three Caliphs.
- Ali (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) Gave His Daughter to Umar (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู)
Ali (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) gave his daughter, Umm Kulthoom (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง), in marriage to Umar (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู). This is a fact which most Shia lay persons have no idea about. It is also a fact that topples the entire paradigm of Shiโism. It proves that Ali (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) approved of Umar’s character (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู), and it disproves the exaggerated Shia historical accounts of animosity between Ali (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) and the Three Caliphs. We quote narrations from Shia Hadith in Al-Kafi which document this marriage. This article was modified from the one written by Abu Muhammad al-Afriki; those who have read the earlier version will be pleased with this updated and revised version.
- Shia Du’a (Saname Quraish) Curses Two of Prophet’s Wives
How is it that Shia missionaries can do Taqiyyah and deny that they hate the Prophetโs wives, when they have โauthenticโ duโas which condemn Aisha (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) and Hafsa (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง), ask Allah to curse them, and to beat them. This is the depth of their hatred for the Prophetic Household, the Ummahatul Muโmineen (Mothers of the Believers), and the Prophetโs lovers (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููู ). A very famous Shia duโa called โSaname Quraishโ condemns Abu Bakr (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) and Umar bin Khattab (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู), as well as their two daughters: Aisha bint Abu Bakr (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) and Hafsa bint Umar bin Khattab (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง), the two lovely wives of the Prophet (ุตููู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณููู ).
- A Comprehensive Rebuttal of Answering-Ansar’s Article on Umm Kulthoom’s Nikah
The Ansar website wrote an article proving that Ali ibn Abi Talib married his daughter off to Umar ibn al-Khattab. In response to this article, the Answering Ansar website wrote an article denying this marriage. Unfortunately, that article by Answering Ansar was very weak; this is our rebuttal to that article by Answering Ansar. This is a comprehensive rebuttal which refutes Answering Ansar’s article point by point.
- Shia Websites Confirm Umm Kulthoom’s Marriage to Umar
There are at least four Shia Hadith in Al-Kafi that confirm the marriage of Umm Kulthoom bint Ali to Umar bin Khattab. Here, we provide Shia websites that quote these Hadith. It is therefore very difficult for the Shia to deny this marriage. Whenever the Shia propagandist goes off on some rambling diatribe about how the marriage could not have taken place, these hyperlinks should be given to him to bring him back to reality.
- Love for Ahlel Bayt and Sahabah
The Ahlel Bayt refers to the family of the Prophet (ุตููู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณููู ). The Sahabah refers to the friends of the Prophet (ุตููู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณููู ). The Shia claim to love the Ahlel Bayt only, and hate the Sahabah. The Nasibis, on the other hand, love the Sahabah but hate the Ahlel Bayt. Both groups are incorrect in their views. The correct position is to love both the Ahlel Bayt (Prophetโs family) and the Sahabah (Prophetโs friends).
- Ali ibn Abi Talib Named His Sons after the Three Caliphs [includes a rebuttal of Answering-Ansar]
Ali named three of his Sons after the Three Caliphs. This fact is recorded by al-Shaykh al-Mufid in โKitab al-Irshadโ, pp. 268-269, where these three sons of Ali are listed as numbers 12, 6 and 10 respectively. Al-Shia.com itself documents how three of Ali’s sons were named Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman. This fact categorically rejects the Shia paradigm which is based upon the false idea that Ali disapproved of Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman. This article also contains a refutation of Answering-Ansar’s article on the issue of Ali’s sons.
- Marriages of the Four Caliphs and the Prophet (ุตููู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณููู
)
Uthman (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) married two of the Prophet’s daughters, and the Prophet (ุตููู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณููู ) married Abu Bakr’s daughter as well as Umar’s daughter. Therefore, all of the Three Caliphs (which the Shia insult and call the “three fools”) were linked to Prophet Muhammad (ุตููู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณููู ) through marriage, blood, or both. That is how close companions the Three Caliphs and the Prophet (ุตููู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณููู ) were.
- Abu Bakr (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู), the Second of the Two
Allah honors Abu Bakr (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) by mentioning him in the Quran in verse 9:40, documenting how it was Abu Bakr (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) who was present with the Prophet (ุตููู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณููู ) on the most historic day of Islam, in which the Prophet (ุตููู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณููู ) made the Hijra that would be so important that it marks the start of the Islamic calender. We examine this honor given to Abu Bakr (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู), and then respond to the feeble Shia justifications.
- The Four Rightly Guided Caliphs
In this article, we examine the Hadith in Sunni literature which praise Abu Bakr, `Umar, `Uthman, and `Ali. This serves two functions in the Sunni-Shia debate. The Shia will always bring up isolated Hadith in praise of `Ali and use these as proof of `Ali’s superiority to the Three Caliphs. However, this is only looking at part of the picture; we must look at other Hadith in which the Prophet says similar things to other Sahabah. The second function of this article will be that we can see all the praises given to `Ali in the Sunni literature and thereby reject the Shia rhetoric that the Ahlus Sunnah is Nasibi.
- Aisha (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) Didn’t Do Ghusl in Front of Men
It is unfortunate that we find many instances in our discourses with the Shia where they willingly take Hadith from Sahih Bukhari out of context to prove their point. One such instance is the Hadith about Bibi Aisha (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) teaching two men how to do Ghusl. The Shia will claim that the Sunnis believe that Bibi Aisha (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) did Ghusl naked in front of two non-mehrem men. In this article, we disprove this horrendous slander, both against Bibi Aisha (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) and against our book of Hadith.
- How the Shia Abandoned the Ahlel Bayt
The Shia have changed the meaning of โAhlel Baytโ (the Prophetic Household) and have pitted some members of the Prophetic Household against others. It seems they do not truly harbor love for the real Ahlel Bayt, including the Prophetโs wives whom they curse, and the Prophetโs daughters whom they deny.
- Fatwa: Kufr to Slander Bibi Aisha
The scholars of Sunni Islam are all agreed that whoever accuses Aisha (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนููุง) of that which Allaah (ุนุฒ ู ุฌู) has stated she is innocent of, is a kaafir. This is because he has rejected Allaahโs (ุนุฒ ู ุฌู) statement of her innocence in Soorat al-Noor. Whoever feels hatred towards the beloved of the Messenger of Allaah (ุตููู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณููู ) will deserved to be despised by him on the Day of Resurrection.
- Al-Islam.org Admits that Umar Married Ali’s Daughter
The most reliable and popular Shia website, Al-Islam.org, has a section for fatwas entitled “Aalim Network”. These Shia Aalims refute Answering-Ansar, the Shia Encyclopedia, and Shia Chat by clearly stating that Ali ibn Abi Talib did in fact marry his daughter to Umar ibn al-Khattab. Here, we examine the position of the respected Shia Aalim: Shaykh Mohammed Soleiman-Peneh of Al-Islam.org’s “Aalim Network.”
- Al-Islam.org says: Do not name your daughter with the name “Aisha”
The depths of hatred that the Shia Ulema have for the Prophet’s family (i.e. the way in which they disassociate themselves from his wife Aisha) manifests itself in the following fatwa passed by the Aalim Network on the very popular Shia website, Al-Islam.org. The Shia are discouraged by their scholars to name their daughters by the beautiful name of “Aisha”–such is their hatred for the beloved of our beloved Prophet.
- Who are the Ahlel Bayt?
Who are the Ahlel Bayt? Answer: Primarily, the Prophet’s wives are Ahlel Bayt. After them, there are others who were also called that, but it should be remembered that the ones with the most right to be called Ahlel Bayt are first and foremost the Prophet’s wives.
- Grand Ayatollah On Cursing the Prophet’s Wives/Companions and Taqiyyah
The following fatwa is found on the Official Website of Grand Ayatollah Muhammad Shahroudi. Please note how the Grand Ayatollah allows the cursing but it must be done in such a way as not to reveal the Taqiyyah that is being done in front of the Sunni masses. Perhaps this will wake up those Sunnis who are fooled by the Shia lies when they say that they do not curse the Prophet’s wives or Sahabah. This comes from the mouth of the Grand Ayatollah himself.
- Shaykh al-Mufid, Tahreef, Taqiyyah, and Half-Quoting
Shaykh al-Mufid claimed, like his other Shia colleagues, that Uthman (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) did not properly compile the Quran and that parts of the Quran were left out (i.e. omitted) from the Mushaf, in particular those verses in the Quran in which the names of the twelve Imams were mentioned. Shaykh al-Mufid claimed that Amir al-Mu’mineen Ali (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) was the only one who compiled the entire Quran and that this edition was currently being held by Al-Qaem (i.e. Imam Mehdi) who would reveal this complete version when he would return from his occultation.
- 154 Wise Sayings of Sayyiduna Ali
Ali (ุฑุถูู ุงููู ุนูู) was an embodiment of knowledge and wisdom. In this article, we relate 154 of his wise sayings. May Allah be well-pleased with him!
- Sayyida Aisha is Part of Ahlel Bayt
Fatwa from Sunni Path, stating the position of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah with regards to Sayyida Aisha and her status as part of the Ahlel Bayt.
- The Prophet Defends His Wife Aisha
The Shia propagandists slander the Prophet’s wife, Aisha. It should be noted, however, that the Munafiqoon (Hypocrites) and Kufaar (Disbelievers) have always sought to hurt the Prophet by slandering his wife; as such, there is nothing new in the Shia tactics. During the lifetime of the Prophet, many of the enemies of Islam hurt the Prophet by slandering his wife, and this pained the Prophet very much.
- Hadith About the (Non)Incident of the Pen and Paper [A Sunni Perspective]
The Shia propagandists make a big fuss over the so-called “incident of the pen and paper” or what they ominously refer to as “Black Thursday”. The Shia exaggerate about the Hadiths on this topic, and use them as some sort of proof against Umar ibn al-Khattab. However, the truth of the matter is that these claims are nothing but the melodramatic antics of the Ghullat gossipers who seek to make a mountain out of an anthill. In this article, we shall examine said event in an objective and reasonable manner, after which we will respond to the Shia accusations.
- The Status of the 12 Imams
“Each one of them was a pious, upright Muslim from the noble Prophetic Tree and many of them were also among the foremost people of knowledge in their time.”
- Grand Ayatollah al-Kho’i Says Wife is Part of a Man’s “Ahl”
Grand Ayatollah al-Kho’i, the former leader of the Hawzah of the holy city of Najaf, wrote in his book “Sirat al-Najat” that the wife is a part of a man’s “Ahl”. It should be noted that “Sirat al-Najat” is a very famous book which is referenced on Al-Islam.org many times. Is it not clear from this that the Prophet’s wives are a part of his “Ahl”? Does this not expose the hypocrisy of the Shia leaders when they include their own wives in their Ahl, but they then rip the Prophet’s wives out of his Ahl?
- Tahreef (Tampering) of Verse 33:33
The classical scholars of the Shia claimed that there was Tahreef (tampering) of the Quran. They claimed that the “evil” Sahabah changed the Quran, and that the Mushaf we have today is not the real Quran (at least not in its unaltered form). The contemporary Shia scholars, however, completely deny that they believe in Tahreef or that this belief was ever a part of their sect. Nonetheless, despite this denial, many of the Shia Ulema hold onto the belief known as Tahreef bit Tarteeb (tampering in the order of the verses of the Quran such that the meaning of it is changed). Many Shia scholars claim that verse 33:33 was altered in such a manner.
- Abu Bakr and Ali Related Through Marriage
Asma bint Umais, as is already mentioned, was the wife of Ali’s real brother, Jafar ibn Abi Talib. When he died, she was married to Abu Bakr. She also gave birth to Abu Bakr’s son named Muhammad. Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) appointed him the governor of Egypt. After the death of Abu Bakr, Ali ibn Abi Talib married her. A son named Yahya was born out of the marriage.
- The Prophet’s Praise of Abu Bakr
Allah’s Messenger added, “No doubt, I am indebted to Abu Bakr more than to anybody else regarding both his companionship and his wealth. And if I had to take a Khaleel (friend) from my followers, I would certainly have taken Abu Bakr, but the fraternity of Islam is sufficient. Let no door of the Mosque remain open, except the door of Abu Bakr.”
- Video: Shia Scholars Cursing and Insulting Prophet’s Wife
In this shocking video, the Shia scholars are caught on tape insulting and cursing the Prophet’s very own wife, Umm al-Mu’mineen Aisha. Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, one of the Shia Maraje’ (top scholars), refers to Aisha as a Kaafir (infidel). Hassan Shahate, the Shia scholar well-known for his participation in Sunni-Shia polemics, refers to Aisha as a donkey. Shaykh Yassir al-Habib, the so-called “up and coming” cleric of Shi’ism, mocks the title of Aisha.
